In times of the corona pandemic, the DIID works entirely in digital space
Therefore, the board meeting on October 2, 2020 was held online. The agenda included the expansion of the advisory board and the future structuring of the personnel. Furthermore, the current research of DIID was reported and the board accepted Marius Gerads as a member of DIID – welcome!
The summer retreat also had to switch to digital space, since DIID did not want to completely do without the input and feedback during a retreat. So, on October 2, 2020, this happened online as well. Prof. Dr. Eilders gave a presentation on a cooperation project with the Grimme Institute and the Federal Agency for Civic Education (more information will be available here on our website soon), Dr. Marcel Solar, Dr. Anna Soßdorf and Jonathan Seim on the HHU as a civic university and Prof. Dr. Stefan Dietze on Data Science & Engineering at HHU & GESIS. We thank the speakers for their exciting input and all present for their participation and the enriching discussions!
The second advisory board meeting of the year on October 12, 2020 also took place as a video conference. First, the DIID reported on the development of the Institute since the last meeting at the beginning of the year. Afterwards, the advisory board met without the DIID team for the regular evaluation of the Institute. We would like to thank you for your participation!
